Railway Reopening

Since the railway reopened on the 12th April this year following the lockdown period at the start of 2021 we have loved seeing so many happy passengers on our trains. The weather has been kind to us and so far we have had a very positive reopening.

The railway is now open everyday, during June we are running from 11:00 until 4:00, Monday to Friday, at the weekends we are running from 10:15 until 5:00. Check back here for our opening times in July and the rest of the summer holidays.

We are still unable to offer train rides from our Kingsmere Station but the kiosk at the station is now open and offer a variety of hot and cold drinks, cold snacks and New Forest Ice Cream.

When you come and see us you will be able to buy a return ticket only from Lakeside Station which is the closest station to the main Visitors Centre in the country park, Lakeside is perfectly situated next to the main picnic area and the lake and is a perfect place to enjoy your lunch and watch the trains go by.

At Lakeside Station you can also purchase cold drinks and snacks as well as a delicious New Forest Ice Cream.

As we head towards the main summer holidays we are looking forward to welcoming as many of you on board as possible, so that you can experience the magic of a trip around Moors Valley Country Park and Forest behind a genuine steam engine.
